The PMAP Ball dubbed “PMAP and Friends,” was a grand reunion of colleagues and family over three decades.
The weekend of RCG was action-packed, with the celebrations of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines’ (PMAP) 30th anniversary at the Peninsula Manila, as well as the annual Assumption College homecoming known as Velada. Fashion designer Mia Arcenas-Branellec, principal ballerina Candice Adea, environmentalist Anna Oposa, and jewelry designer Wynn Wynn Ong voiced out their respective advocacies. The “Why We Fight” video starred influential women from different industries supporting the cause.
A golden South Sea pearl strand was auctioned off at the fashion show, the proceeds earmarked to support ICanServe’s nationwide programs and initiatives. Jewelmer EVP and deputy CEO Jacques Christophe Branellec was present to also introduce the “Why We Fight” bracelet, with the Philippine national gem, the South Sea pearl, at the heart of the creation.
Realmente Bella Señorita Panamá 2008 Carolina Dementiev of Panama Centro crowned Diana Broce of Los Santos as her successor at the end of the event as the new Señorita Panamá. Ībout 10 contestants from all over the country will compete for the prestigious crown.
The new pageant would send the winner to Miss Universe 2009. It was the 43rd celebration of the Miss Panama contest and the 26th Annual contest Señorita Panamá, was held at the Ascanio Arosemena Auditorium with the final night at the Tihany Spectacular, Panama, Panama on Friday, May 15, 2009. Realmente Bella Señorita Panamá 2009 is the second edition of the beauty contest format that was created when the Señorita Panamá contest was renewed.
